Service Description
Join us for our Level 1 or Level 2 clinic at Action Academy on July 10, 11, and 12, where you will gain essential, film-oriented horseback riding techniques and groundwork for Western action fighting. Designed for beginner or intermediate levels, this immersive three-day training will impart invaluable lessons drawn from years of on-set horse experience. Don’t miss this opportunity to elevate your acting/riding skills and Western stunt performance in a professional and safe environment! Level 1: $2000 and Level 2: $2500
Cancellation Policy
This 3-day Course is focused on providing a foundational understanding of film-oriented horse riding, basic western action fighting, and the handling of fake period weapons. Some of the topics we will cover as a class will be: + Tack education and safety. + How to verify your gear before stepping onto your horse. + Proper mounting and dismounting. + Reign management + The basics of neck and plow reigning. + Discussion of leads. + Hitting a mark. + Setting yourself up for successful landings. + Setting yourself up for successful exits + Changing gates. + How to use your voice to work with your horse. + Fundamental western fight techniques. + How to make your action sell on camera. + Fighting for angles. + The basic prop gun safety protocols. + How to handle a prop weapon on set. + Navigating a sword while riding. And that is just to get us started… For the course, we’d like for you to wear: + Cowboy boots, or other close-toed, riding-appropriate footwear + Jeans + Long sleeve shirt We will provide you with your own helmet and safety vest for the duration of the course. ***A Tad Western Action Academy Inc. does not issue refunds for deposits or classes.
